There
are many schools and instructors offering training in other
equestrian fields including horse psychology and management,
dressage, hunt seat equitation, groom's duties, animal first
aid and stable management.
Other
taught skills include: communicating with your horse through
touch and body language, bareback riding and mounted games
instilling a team spirit in you and your horse.
There
are courses in equine shiatsu which which can be used to help
with spookiness, anxiety and depression, irritability, aggression
and muscular tension as well as disorders of the musculoskeletal
system such as, sore backs, sprains and strains, joint pain
- often seen in competition and older horses.
Course
are available in hoofcare and farrier skills (traditional
and alternative), herbs and horse nutrition, aromatherapy
for horses and how to perform in front of cameras. There are
also teacher-training courses available.
